Forming in the Winter of 2012, The four Metal philosophers are Jeff Young (frontman), Brett Chodkowski (guitar), Peter Kazmierczak (percussion), & Damien Rorick (bass)

The Impurity has completed their 2019 East-Coast Summer Tour and

currently are recording new music anticipated to release early 2020

Merging influence from guitar-heavy bands like

Pantera, Meshuggah, & Lamb of God; to the Seattle grunge sound of Soundgarden & Alice in Chains; to the soaring vocal styles of bands such as Scorpions, Skid Row, & Alter Bridge; and including but not limited to the psychedelic and progressive grooves of bands like Porcupine Tree, Tool, & OSI 

 

The Impurity's music has been described as a

Being a 'Metal' band however, The Impurity does not consider itself 'genre-confined'. "We take influence from the expressions of all walks of life, whatever has feeling and the right meaning. The 'Heavy' sound will always hold the greatest place in our hearts, though."
